RE: Unresolved Problems Related to: Chaparral Meadows Pit (File M-1984-101)
Dear Mr. Ary,
It has come to the attention of the Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety that problems noted in a
past mine site inspection report either have not been corrected, or have been corrected, but
documentation of the corrective actions taken were not submitted to our office.
Please see the enclosed inspection report for your mine site, issued as a result of past inspection of this
site. The problems noted in this report, that our records indicate remain unresolved, have been
highlighted.
To avoid potential future enforcement actions for non-compliance with State Statutes, Rules and
Regulations, and/or conditions specified in your permit for this site, documentation of compliance with the
corrective actions specified for the indicated problem must be submitted to our office by February 27,
2007. The only exception to this deadline relates to seeding of the topsoil stockpile. The deadline for
that corrective action is May 30, 2007.
