Cover was estimated for Transect 1, and woody plant density was
estimated by counting woody plants within 2 meter wide belts the length of each
transect.
Data Summary
(Reference any tables, diagrams or maps attached)
Attachment 1 - Transect Locations
Attachment 2 - Cover Summary
Attachment 3 - Woody Plant Density Summary
Narrative Evaluation of Compliance
This is a live-handle, non seeded parcel characterized by high cover and
production of native and introduced perennial grasses, with a number of native
and introduced fortis present, but contributing a relatively minor cover
component. Dominant grasses are Kentucky bluegrass and smooth brome. Major
species cover is relatively evenly distributed, and the parcel would,
individually meet the species diversity standard. Exposed bare ground was only
5Y on the cover transect, and no erosion was evident in the area. Woody density
samples were quite variable, 494/acre for Transect 1, 1,505/acre for Transect 2,
and 1,998/acre for Transect 3, giving an estimate of the mean of u = 1,332 +
1,293. Snowberry is the dominant woody plant.
* A separate tracking sheet should be filled out for each area and compliance
topic evaluated.
** If applicable
DTM/ern
4538E
