III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />On June 23 and 24, 1994, a complete inspection was conducted at the Apex No. <br />2 Mine. This mine is presently undergoing reclamation. Amine representative <br />was not present during this inspection. The weather at the time of the inspection <br />was sunny and warm, it had rained a little in the past week but this area is still in <br />the middle of a drought. As of June 11, this area was experiencing an extreme <br />drought. Grasses are dormant. <br />The records are kept at the Routt county courthouse. These were checked and <br />were in order. <br />The Mine was inspected. A combine was parked in the access to the storage <br />building. Ditches were clear and functioning as were culverts. The pond was dry. <br />Weeds have dried out <br />
