Dept. oir.a`ural Resources <br />Item 1 - On page 5 in the 5th paragraph we noted "Soils and overburden will be <br />removed, segregated and stored for reclamation." The manner of handling <br />the soil was continued on page 6. Soils vary in depth from 0 feet to <br />1/2 feet. It is our intent as noted on page 10 to follow the SCS <br />recommendation (see page 20) and resoil with at least 6 inches of top <br />soil whenever it is available. <br />Item 2 - Overburden storage will not be in one set location. Please see pages 5 <br />and 6 along with map exhibit D-1. Overburden from each stage will be <br />used in the refill-reshape reclamation phase immediately following <br />completion of any and all mining stages. If needed, vegetation of <br />storage piles will be with western wheatgrass. <br />Item 3 - Please see mining timetable on page 7 and corresponding map exhibit D-1. <br />Item 4 - Interior pit is less than 3 to 1. See map exhibit D-1. <br />Item 5 - As recommended by the Soil Conservation Service (see page 20). During <br />the period March-May of each revegetation year. <br />Item 6 - Yes.
