General Comments
No one was on-site, therefore, records could not be examined.
The mine was not operating, however, it was evident that some maintenance work
had been taking place. The perimeter electric fence had been repaired and was
operating. The sediment control ditches leading to the sediment pond had been
cleaned and the material placed in the sediment pond. The pond was dry.
There had been a slide between the upper (portal) and lower (load-out)
benches, and one downdrain inlet located on the lower bench was badly eroded.
However, these areas are surrounded by sediment control ditches and there
should not be any off-site damage.
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel.
