The comments include discussion of observations made during the inspection.
Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the
enforcement action.
This was a partial inspection of the Eastside Mine conducted by Erica Crosby of DMG. No company
representative was present during the inspection. The Eastside Creek Mine status is inactive. The
inspection involved viewing three aerial photographs taken by Harry Ranney on April 27, 1998.
Weather and ground conditions on site appeared clear and dry.
Roads Only 50 feet of the upper road segment were included in the photographs. No problems were
noted.
Hydrologic Balance The sediment pond was dry and no recent discharge could be detected. The
clean water diversion ditch appeared to be in good repair.
Backfilling & Grading The backfilled areas appeared stable and well vegetated. No major erosion
features were noted in the photos.
