The 125 <br />permitted acres lie in Sections 2 and 21 of Tt3S, R91W, and Section 35 <br />and Lo[s 19, 20, 21, of T12S, R91W. <br />Most coal produced is trucked to Colorado Westmoreland, with a small amount <br />of lump coal going to assorted buyers. OSM plan approval is pending. There are questions <br />concerning the permanency of the sediment pond, and discharge from <br />the pond. If the pond is going to be a permanent impoundment, the <br />operator feels that he should not be required to post a reclamation <br />bond for the affected acreage. (See Section 717.17 for further <br />hydrologic notes) <br />The Blue Ribbon Mine has a scale site on Colorado highway 133. It <br />encompasses approximately 0.7 acre. The State has required the <br />area be included in the permit, which has been done. It is a self- <br />service scale used by several mines in [he area. <br />717.12 Signs and Markers <br />The mine identification sign was placed at an access point to the <br />mine. It had been knocked over and plopped back up against a rock. <br />The sign needs to be secured in a stable position. <br />
