ORIGINAL -PUBLIC PILE <br />(Page 2J <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: ti+-t9g5-9tst <br />INSPECTION DATE: t ~/1Z/a~ INSPECTOROS INITIALS: _-Bt;- <br />OBSERVATIONS <br />The Division conducted a monitoring inspection of the site, as part of <br />sites to be inspected during fiscal years 2003-2004. The site is large 112 <br />sand and gravel operation located approximately 10 miles east of Pueblo, <br />Colorado, along the south side of State Highway 50. Present during the <br />inspection was Mr. Rusty Cochran of Lafarge. The site has been in partial <br />reclamation since 1999, the last time the operator mined in the area. <br />According to Rusty, Lafarge plans to transfer the permit to the landowner <br />sometime next year. The entire site was driven and inspected. All miming <br />related equipment was being dismantled to be removed from site. The silt <br />pond that was present during the last inspection has been backfilled. The <br />remaining, topsoil piles were properly protected, Silt pond side slopes <br />appeared stable, no major sign of erosion noted.
