(Page 2) <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-7000-066 <br />INSPECTION DATE: 7-4-n2 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: -1~ <br />OBSERVATIONS <br />Completed a partial inspection of this site as part of a Mined Land Reclamation Board directive to inspect every mine in the <br />state at least once every four years. This is the first inspection for this operation since the permit was only recently issued. <br />This is a 9.9 acre Limited Impact permit located about 13 miles northwest of Arriba, Colo. <br />The operator is mining a dry creek bed (Arikaree). The sand & gravel material is being excavated from the creek with a <br />dozer. The top 4-6 feet of material is scraped onto the north creek bank where it stockpiled and removed when needed. The <br />creek replaces the material when flooding occurs in the spring or summer months. <br />Amine ID sign has been placed at the entrance of the permit area.
