<br />III. COMMENTS - COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a partial inspection conducted by Kent Gorham of the Colorado Division of <br />Minerals and Geology. This site is permit revoked and is on a reduced inspection <br />frequency of two inspections per year. All reclaimed areas were traversed on foot. <br />Hydrologic Balance <br />All ponds were found nearly dry, with only a small puddle in the bottom. Sediment <br />ponds appear to be in functional condition. <br />Revegetation <br />Grasses have "dried down" due to frost and the end of the growing season. Revegetated <br />areas appeared extremely dry due to drought conditions. Vegetation is sparse in many <br />areas but rills and gullies do not seem to be a problem at this time. <br />Overall, the mine site appears in fair condition. <br />3 <br />
