A pre-operation inspection was made of the proposed NCCI Pit #1. The site is located 1.75 <br />miles northwest of Fort Lupton in Weld County. Present during the inspection were Mr. <br />George Zadel of Northern Colorado Constructors, Inc. and Mr. Ken Rollin of Rollin <br />Consulting. <br />2. The applicant has proposed a 112c sand & gravel operation for a total of 102,66 acres. <br />Excavation will occur via dewatering and dry mining methods. NCCI will create seven (7) <br />ponds during reclamation for a total surface acreage of 67 acres. The anticipated post- <br />mining land uses are developed water resources and recreation. <br />3. An entrance sign was posted as required by Rule 1.6.2(1)(b} <br />4. Permanent man-made structures were evaluated and found to be as indicated on Exhibit C, <br />Mining Plan Map. <br />5. Various topics were discussed with Mr. Zadel and Mr. Rollin such as wetlands, setback <br />distances from permanent man-made structures, considerations for water use and management, <br />and the reclamation plan. <br />6.
