Mr. Pendleton requested that Lambert and Associates <br />provide a letter summarizing our understanding of the requested <br />density test procedures for your gob pile as outlined in several <br />letters from Mr. Pendleton. <br />Based on our understanding of the procedures requested by Mr. <br />Pendleton the test procedures we will use for density tests for the <br />qob pile beginning on or after January 24, 1996 and have used in <br />recent testing will include the following. <br />- Moisture content-dry density relationship (Proctor) tests <br />will be performed for each quarterly testing as scheduled <br />by Mountain Coal Company. The Proctor sample tests will <br />include particle size for percent of aggregate larger than <br />three (3) inches, percent aggregate from the three quarter <br />(3/4) inch size to three (3) inch size, percent aggregate <br />number 4 size to three quarter (3/4) inch size, and percent <br />aggregate smaller than number 4 size. The Proctor data <br />presentation will include the moisture content and dry <br />density of each test point used to develop the moisture <br />content-dry density relationship curve. <br />P. O.
