III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection The comments include discussion of observations made <br />dunng the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken dunng the inspection <br />and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action, <br />Thls was a partial inspection conducted by Kent Gorham of the Colorado Division of <br />Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (Division) This mine is in permanent cessation and <br />reclamation of most areas is complete, The site was entirely snow-covered with the <br />exception of steep, south-facing areas. The weather was sunny and cold. <br />Reveoetation <br />A significant component of the revegetation plan was the shrub transplant program on <br />reclaimed lands owned by the Vento family. Due to the snow cover obscuring most other <br />vegetation, shrub transplants were easy to pick out in the reclaimed area Red cedar and <br />Ponderosa pine, in particular, appear to be numerous and healthy.
