III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a partial inspection of the King Coal Mine for the month of May, 1996. <br />The facilities area is clean and in good shape. Some logs have rolled off the designated area <br />and should be replaced onto the stack. A small portion of the diversion ditch that is below the <br />vent fan requires some minor cleaning at the first bend. <br />The stoker coal bin has been constructed and the only thing remaining is to pour the concrete <br />floor. <br />The waste pile diversion ditch has been cleaned and is as designed. The pile is properly sloped <br />so that ponding of water will not occur. <br />
