location. Inspection revealed a small channel of only 12-18 inches in width and about one
foot deep. Given the size of the watershed above this area. it would seem that thick
vegetation appears to limit the amount of runoff during storm events,
The next stop was back on ~.,.• ~°. The well casing itself
is an excellent location for a survey monument to measure onset and maynituae o. yrounu
subsidence.
The next stop was the Middle Dry Fork flume. The flume is a Parshall flume with a throat
measurement of 30 inches. A continuous recorder measures flow at this flume. Significant
flow was also observed at this location. Digital Video was again recorded at this location.
Shortly past the flume location was a single well on the right side of the road. Although we
did not stop at this location, maps indicate that this was likely well C-76.
Continuing upstream, we arrived at Cow Camp. A small horse corral and cabin exist at this
location. Although pictures have been taken of the exterior, apre-subsidence survey of the
cabin including foundation condition, interior inspection, condition of doors and windows
should be conducted prior to subsidence. Ownership of the cabin is unknown at this time.
Rule 4.20. Subsidence Control, requires that owners of property and structures be notified by
certified mail at least six months prior to undermining.
The road leaves the Ory fork at this point in Section 34 T13S, R90W. The east boundary of
the proposed subsided area is near in the SE '/. of this section. Still within the subsided area
on the left side of the road we stopped at groundwater wells SOM-3E and SOM-3B. The
wells are properly labeled under the surface casing cover.
Prior to the road coming back down into the Dry Fork valley we crossed the eastern
boundary of the proposed SOD subsided area.
Once the road re-entered the Dry Fork valley. we came upon the Upper Dry Fork flume. The
recorder had been removed at this site but the flume appeared in good condition. The throat
was measured at 30 inches and the stream was flowing at 32 feet on the gauge. This
