III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a partial inspection of the Raton Creek Mine for the month of November, 1996. The <br />site has been reclaimed and mining operations have permanently ceased. <br />The site received 1 foot of snow the previous night and the snow was still lightly coming down <br />during the inspection. <br />Due to the amount of snow that had fallen, not much could be observed. The pond did have <br />water in it but was not discharging. The 8 foot diameter culvert remains clear and ditches all <br />appear to be able to function as designed. <br />
