C~

MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-88-048
INSPECTION DATE 2/10/20
(Page 3) •
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS TAS
both upstream and downstream. Third, the operator has installed a water infiltration gallery
near the freshwater intake to help recharge the alluvium of Lone Tree Creek.
9. Significant cultural resources to the northeast along Lone Tree Creek have been excluded
from the permit area and have not been affected in any way by the mining operation.
10. The Lone Tree Creek area is a lowland riparian habitat and does function as a wildlife
migration corridor. The mining plan does specify a 200 foot setback from the main channel
of the creek thereby mininizing disturbance to wildlife in the area. During the inspection,
Mr. Everist expressed an interest to enhance reclaimed lands for wildlife where practical.
Several suggestions that might be beneficial to wildlife include the following: 1) addition
of shrub species such as cicer milkvetch, four-winged saltbush, and winterfat into the seed
mix, and 2) plantings of treeishrub species near the stormwater collection basin to serve as
a windbreak and to help trap blowing snow and create a more permanent watering hole.
