1 r ~
Ohio Creek Coal Co.
Nonexistent, DMG administered
O.C. #2
C-002-80
Partial special focus review oversight inspection
10/08/2004
Mitch Rollings, 370, OSM
This was a partial inspection as part of an oversight special focus review of bond
forfeited mines to determine what, if any, off site impacts are associated with those
mines. There were no off site impacts observed from OC #2.
OC #2 was partially reclaimed prior to bond forfeiture by DMG and has since been
totally reclaimed. I do not know if any bond monies are still available or if they have
been entirely used.
The portals have all been closed and covered. H'ghwalls have been eliminated and the
area has been graded back to approximate original contour. The area has been
revegetated and the vegetation appears to be doing well. A sedimentation pond exists
below the disturbed area and all runoff drains to the pond. There was no evidence of
excessive erosion. R clamation has been successful.
No off site impacts were observed.
