As you can see from my
scaled map, I live in the middle of the Camas USRs.
What I would like to say first, I am not opposed to
responsible mining, I am opposed to unresponsible mining.
Reviewing the map you can see that a possible 3.5 miles
of river ( St. Vrain and Boulder Creek) will be disrupted
for 15-20 years, not including the 14yrs, to present. I must
say agian I am not opposed to responsible mining. As you
can see on the map, a yellow marker showing the conveyer system
from C.L.Rd.#1 to the east end of section 16. This is my
opposition. Why as a property owner do we have to deal with
this negative impact. This does not have to happen. The USR
877 permit needs to be reclaimed, then the USR 1046 should
be mined. To have the St. Vrain-Boulder Creek confluence
mined at the same time, it is to hard on the enviroment.
As neighbors, we have battled with the effects of the mining.
AIR QUALI'T'Y, NOISE, TRAFFIC, NEGATIVE PROPERTY VALUES,
ENVIROMEN'tAL EFFECTS, not to mention miles of unreclaimed
river bottom. This is not an attempt to stop the mining,
it is an ;attempt to get it under control before its to late.
The State of Colorado 34-32-102 Legislative Declaration
is not being conveyed to myself my family and or my neighbors.
Please take a close look at my concerns:
Thanks Ted L.
