• <br />(Page 2) <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-R6-n25 <br />INSPECTION DATE: a-a-nn INSPECTORS INITIALS: ~K- <br />OBSERVATIONS <br />The Division conducted a monitoring inspection of the site as part of the fiscal year 2000, sites to be <br />inspected. Present during the inspection was Mr. Greg Newlon, of R.E. Monk Construction. The site is a <br />small 110 sand and gravel operation located near Calahan Colorado. The approximately 2 acres of <br />disturbance associated with the operation has been graded ,top soiled and seeded. According to Mr. <br />Newlon, R.E. MONKS plans to rework the slopes this fall to remove the small rills and gullies that were <br />noted at the time of the inspection. Even areas that were not mined or disturbed show similar types of rills <br />and gullies so until a request for release is submitted the Division does not see a major problem at this <br />time.
