In this Inspection Report, the Division noted
that Great Hesper mine site should have an identification sign in place while the site is undergoing
final reclamation. Although a Corrective Action was not specified for the placement of an
identification sign, a sign has been placed in conjunction with other current site activity.
Attached are copies of photos taken at the Great Hesper mine site and which show the mine
identification sign. Unforttmately the photos did not turn out to be easily legible. If the Division so
wishes, additional photographs can be taken for the permanent file records.
IUSA undertook final site reclamation work at the Great Hesper site in October. Activities have
included those which were identified in the July 17 Inspection Report. IUSA will arrange to get
ground surveys conducted at the Great Hesper sites (and also at other sites in the vicinity where
reclamation has been conducted). The surveys are needed to update site maps to accurately portray
where reclamation work has been completed. As soon as the surveying work is completed and the
updated maps have been prepared, a report will be submitted to the Division.
Sin/,,G~
/~
Te~.
