III. Comments - Compliance
Below are Comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of
observations made during the inspection. Comments also describe any

On March 12, 1992 a complete inspection was conducted at the Canadian Strip
Mine. The Canadian Strip Mine is in permanent closure and is reclaimed. At the
time of the inspection a mine representative was not present. The weather was
clear and warm.
Access to the mine through county road 23A was almost impossible. About 90% of
the road was covered with snow and the 10% that was clear was soft and sticky.
The south pond was covered with snow and did not appear to have received any
runoff from snow-melt.
The entrance to the mine site was appropriately identified with a sign.
The records at the county court house were checked and were in order.
No problems were noted.
