West part has been nicely sloped with terraces to reduce slo~~e length <br />and reduce erosion. Area was seeded about 2 years ago and vegetation <br />is starting to come in. <br />2. East part, which was used for access to west side and for crushing <br />area, is cut into side of hill. Area is very steep. Area i<_ to be <br />reclaimed in near future. Considerable erosion problems as noted by <br />deep gullying. <br />B. West Area <br />1. Pad area, for crushing purposes, has been created on western side of <br />area. <br />2. Mine development has occurred into slope on east side of pad. Future <br />mining would also occur on west side of pad. <br />C. Financial Warranty <br />1. $38,000.00 is adequate for this site. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />1. Since last production and removal of material occurred in mid-1981, <br />operator should apply for temporary cessation. Please reference ,attached <br />newly promulgated rules and regulations. <br />2. Operator should reclaim the east part of the Eastern Area as soon as <br />possible. During the interim, same form of erosion control check dams <br />should be installed. <br />3. Pad area of Western Area should be seeded since the area will not be used <br />for some time. <br />4.
