The Division conducted a monitoring inspection of the site as part of the year 2000/2001 fiscal year sites to
be inspected. The site is a small ilOC materials permit with 9.9 acres of total permitted acreage and with a
maximum disturbance of 1.5 acres. Even though, in the annual report the permit acreage is reported as
17.8 acres in error, the actual permit acreage is indeed 9.9 acres. Operator was notified of the pending site
inspection but was unable to attend. The financial warranty for the expected disturbance was calculated in
1993 and it appears given the present affected acreage to be adequate. The site was not active at the time
of the inspection, however, the presence of a small front end loader in the pit floor and fresh disturbance
indicates, the site has been active recently. According to the annual report and what was observed on site,
the operator appears to have conducted some slope reclamation along the south side. Initial cursory survey
of the affected area was considered to be more than what was approved in the reclamation plan. On 2-Ol
01, an accurate survey of the site was conducted and found it to be as approved. However, the operator has
to be very careful along the East Side of the permit as to not affect outside of the approved acreage. High
walls were stable; no major erosion features were noted. Permit sign and boundary markers were properly
displayed.
