As we have tried unsuccessfully to contact
you by phone, this letter will serve as advance notice of our intention
to visit the site on Friday morning, August 4, 1995. Mr. Bob Hill of
Deadwood Gulch Mining Co. has indicated that you may be in the area
performing some grading work on the access road to the Incas Mine, so
we hope you will be available to attend the inspection.
Please contact me at the Durango Field Office, ph. 247-5193 if you
would like to arrange the inspection on another date or different time
of day. Friday morning will work out well for us as we are planning to
visit the Incas Mine which is located in the same area.
Sincerely,

Tom Gillis
Environmental Protection Specialist
/tdg
