III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below aze comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the <br />inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or <br />evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />Based on the observations made during this inspection, backfill and grading operations, topsoil <br />replacement, and revegetation efforts are on schedule for all mine site locations and are currently <br />compliant with permit conditions. <br />Permanent channel construction including riprap installation will be completed within one yeaz <br />of completion of the final grading of adjacent backfill slopes, and prior to topsoiling of azea <br />adjacent to the channel(s). <br />Slides and Damaee <br />A small slide occurred prior to this inspection neaz the center of the South Valora Pit along the <br />top of the highwall. The slide azea is located close to the disturbance boundary, but well within <br />the permit boundary. The highwall has been partially backfilled at this location and backfill and <br />grading operations are scheduled to continue. To ensure compliance, please implement measures <br />necessary to stabilize the slide azea and inform the DMG if any significant additional movement <br />or slumping occurs at this location. <br />
