(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-98-047
INSPECTION DATE 07-15-99 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS CBM
OBSERVATIONS
This was a monitoring inspection done by Carl Mount as part of the Division
of Minerals and Geology routine inspection program. Photographs were taken
of the permitted area and surrounding areas. The site disturbance was
evaluated and determined to be included within the marked permit area.
Moffat County trucks were loading and transporting material out of this pit
at the time of inspection. The operator has started mining into the
amendment area with topsoil stored to the south and overburden stored to the
north in the amendment area. The original permit area has both topsoil and
overburden stored to the south with a minor amount of topsoil stored to the
north. At least two large radially stacked stockpiles of roadbase material
are stored in the center of the original and amendment areas. The pit floor
now drains through a drainage to the northeast corner of the mined area.
There is no evidence of offsite sedimentation at this pit.
Topsoil stockpiles have not been revegetated or stabilized at this pit.
Stabilization of topsoil with vegetation is required by the permit. Please
attempt to revegetate any stockpiles that will remain in place for longer
than one growing season.
No other problems were noted during this inspection.
I & E Contact Address
cc:

NAME Mr. Marvin Moore ^
OPERATOR Moffat County ^
STREET P.O.
