• (Page 2) •
MINE ID ~/ OR PROSPECTING ID ¢` M-77-256
INSPECTION DATE 05102/96 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS CLK
OBSERVATIONS
The following observations were made during a pre-operational inspection of the site, prior
to the conversion of this site to a 112.
1. Signs and boundary markers were in place ae required. (~~
2. Power lines, property Lines, and sloping in the are to be added were all as described
in the conversion application. A small area in the o t,east corner of the expansion area
has been used for gathering firewood, and a road has been cleared all the way down the
property line, eo it was possible to determine the elope of the additional area (basically
flat, with the runoff draining toward the old pit) and to confirm that no other structures
exist within the area to be added.
3. The current pit has been mined up to the surrounding permit area boundary. Topsoil has
been stockpiled, and overburden saved for reclamation activities.
4. Drainage off the site will go around the power poles, with an island formed around the
two in the center of the site, with a 100' setback from the poles. It does not look like
further mining will jeopardize the stability of the power lines.
No problems or contradictions to the 112 conversion application were found.
I & E Contact Address
NAME Rich Shroer
OPERATOR Grand County
STREET 467 E.
