The site is a small 3.0 acre sand and gravel operation in a
dry stream bed. The site is in intermittent status which means it is only
operated on as need basis. Unless the operator applies for an amendment to
expand the permit, it appears all of the three acres to have been affected
at the time of the inspection.
When the site was inspected in 2000, the only problem noted was the fact
that there was no boundary markers posted. The permit sign has been
properly posted and boundary markers in place as difficult as it is to
place such markers in these dry stream beds. Operator had tried many
different types of markers that will not be easily moved by either nature
or cattle which includes placing used tires on posts.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: MS LYN BROWNFIELD
OPERATOR: KIT CARSON COUNTY
STREET: P_n RC)X 16n
CITY/STATE/ZIP: R1IRIINC;T(~N Cnlt7RAf)C) 8nftn7-nlGn
CC:
Harry Posey (e-mail)
cc: r CE
All overburden/ topsoil
r BL
r FS
I' H W
I- HMWMD (CH)
I'
t SE
t WOCD NCH)
P OTHER
