Repair to the Public Service Ames Penstock is within the approved permit boundary 1-14-00 <br />and appears to have created a fill and access road that may be unstable. Some sedimentation has occurred in an otherwise undisturbed area of the permit area 6-30-00 <br />just south of the reject pile and below the railroad grade. Some portions of the excavated slopes at the site have not been maintained at the 1-14-99 <br />maximum 2.5:1 grade. One 55 gallon drum and two five gallon buckets of petroleum products were noted on 12-17-99 <br />site, but not stored in a spill containment facility.
