(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-77-439
INSPECTION DATE: 10/i1/nt INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: KAP
OBSERVATIONS
1. The inspection of the Home Office Pit was conducted as part of the Division of Minerals and Geology's monitoring
program. Present at the inspection were Kate Pickford, DMG, Erica Crosby, DMG, and Mary Harnett and Kevin Peart of
LaFarge Corp. Weather at the time of inspection was clear, windy, and about 70 degrees.
2. Mining and reclamation activities have been completed on multiple areas of the permit area. Reclamation is in the form of
ponds. The reclaimed areas are well vegetated and have acceptable slopes. Wildlife seen in the area included ducks and
herons, and the operator indicated that ospreys also frequent the site. The current active areas consist of approximately ZO
disturbed acres. Floor of the active pit is approximately 15 to 20 feet below the adjacent ground surface. The site was marked
with the appropriate boundary markers and signs. All activities appeared to be occurring within the permit boundaries. Heavy
equipment was performing numerous tasks within and around the pit. There was no dust problem apparent at the time of
inspection. Adequate topsoil for reclamation of the site has been stockpiled. There was no apparent weed problem related to
toxic weeds at the time of inspection, and the operator has an active weed control plan which includes mowing. Activities at
the site do not appear to have any negative impact on the nearby Cache LaPoudre River.
3. All activities and completed work at the time of inspection appeared to be following the guidelines set forth in the mining
plan for the pit. All operations and conditions at the time of the inspection fell within regulations.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Eric Reckentine
OPERATOR: Western Mobile Northern, Inc.
STREET: 1590 W. 12`" Ave.
CITY/STATE/ZIP: Denver CO 80204
cc ^ CE
^ BL
^ FS
^ HW
^ HMWMD (CH)
^ SE
^ WQCD (CH)
^ OTHER
