IIL COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the <br />inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or <br />evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a partial inspection of the Marr Strip Mine conducted on October 20, 2003 by Mike <br />Boulay of the DMG. Weather conditions were sunny and warm and ground conditions were very <br />dry at the time of the inspection. Although there were no cattle grazing at the site during the <br />inspection, it was appazent that cattle had recently been on the mine site. There has been no other <br />appazent activity at the mine site since the time of the last inspection. <br />Roads <br />The permanent light use road was accessible and dry. Overall, the road surface was in good <br />condition and maintained. Road ditches were stable and in good condition. <br />Hvdroloeic Balance <br />Sedimentation Ponds C, D, E, F, and G were viewed. Ponds D and E were retaining water but no <br />dischazge was observed. Ponds C, F, and G were dry. Pond embankments, inlets and discharge <br />structures were stable and no problems were noted at any of these sediment pond locations. <br />Ponds A and B were not inspected. <br />
