With the exception of <br />the needed repairs to the reclaimed North Pit (severe gullying on the pit's north end and the three rills <br />nearer the middle of the pit), the operator appeazed to have completed reestablishment of drainage in the <br />SL-03 bond release area in accordance with the approved reclamation plan. <br />Support Facilities <br />No problems were found in the Equipment Storage Area at the south end of the permit azea where several <br />large pieces of equipment remain. The equipment includes: 2 hydraulic shovels, 1 drift rig, l dump truck, <br />4 service trucks, 1 coal dryer, 1 crop disker, 1 automobile, 4 haul trucks, and 12 truck tires. Reclamation <br />liability for the following items cannot be released until the equipment is removed: a) equipment removal <br />and b) backfilling and regrading where the equipment is located. <br />General Mine Plan Compliance <br />The operator is progressing towazd completing the reclamation plan. <br />ReveEetation <br />The August 2006 inspection report found that on the areas reclaimed in summer 2006, drill seeding <br />appeazed to have been conducted on flat-lying areas and broadcast seeding appeazed to have been <br />completed on steeper slopes. All seeded areas had been covered with a few inches of straw mulch. A <br />nurse crop of sterile wheat/oat hybrid, a product called Regreen, is providing good vegetative cover on <br />the backfilled and regraded areas. <br />5 <br />
