(Page 2) <br />MINE 10 +Y OR PROSPECTING ID # M•1977-222 <br />INSPECTION DATE 11/3U~"1006 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS DEG <br />OBSERVATIONS <br />This inspection of Permd Number M•1977.222 (Rocky Ford South Pit) was conducted by Deb E. Gbnima of the DRMS as part <br />of the routine monitoring and inspection protocol. Herb K. Pearson and Wayne Adams, Valco. Inc. were present during this <br />mspection_ The pit is located 3 miles southwest of Rocky Ford, CO, and currently cons+sts of approwmately 147 acres. <br />The mine entrance Identification srgn was posted, but the mine name and permit number were faded and should be made more <br />clearly v+sible per Rule 3.1 12(1)(c). <br />The topsoil stockpile is located at the southern and eastern perimeter of the pit. Them are a few material stockpiles that aro <br />sduated near the center of the sde, southeast of the mine entrance (see photo 1) There was a wheel loader on sde at the hme <br />of this inspection, but no evidence of fuel or hazardous materials was observed. <br />All other actrvdies arid completed work at the Ume of inspection appeared to follow the gwdelines and reyulations set forth by <br />Iho state and the approved mining and reclamation plans for the pit, and no additional problems aro noted for th+s site. The site <br />appears stable, and no disturbance was observed outside of the approved permit boundaries. For luturo reference, Ihls site is <br />crurectly posltionnd in the f1RMS nnlin(?
