The pit is active. There was a front end loader on site. Mining is <br />advancing to the south into a ridge. <br />This pit is separated from the adjacent pit M1978-189 by a few hundred feet or less. Since there is truck traffic <br />between the pits and also the possibility that the operator may wish to expand their mining area, the Division <br />recommends that Logan County combines these two pits along with any desired additional area into one 112 (c ) <br />permit.
