III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations <br />made during the inspection. Comments in Section IV describe any enforcement actions <br />taken during the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS: The lower sign on Pitkin County Road No. 1 was checked, and found to <br />be in good repair. The upper sign on Pitkin county Road No. 1 and those on Middle Thompson <br />Creek were not checked due to deep snow. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE: The Developed Water Resources area was covered with <br />approximately a foot and half of snow. All the impoundments were operating properly. There <br />was no surface runoff from the area. A picture was taken and is on file at the Division of <br />Minerals and Geology, and a copy (electronic) transmitted to the operator. <br />REVEGETATION: Areas still subject to revegetation, the flume sites, were not checked and <br />revegetation was not evaluated due to deep snow cover. <br />C-1981-025, Page _4_ of _5_ Pages, (date) -January 23, 2004_, (initials) _BGW ~"'~ <br />
