Enforcement <br />action forthcoming. <br />O&SERVATIG~15 OF L~1POI~~N(.T: <br />A.` The pit in SE, SEa of Section 8 is an old disturbance which took place in an ephemeral <br />drainage. This pit is 20 or 30 Feet deep, and no diversion was constructed for the drainage. <br />There was no water at this time, but there has been ponding during wettez seasons. In the <br />southeast corner of this disturbed area is a large stockpile of what may be topsoil mixed <br />with gravel, with weeds growing on it. <br />B. Much of the old disturbance has been redisturbed in this 15-acre pit northwest of the <br />aforementioned pit, in SWJ of SEa, Section 8. There was a smolt pond in the bottom of the <br />newest pit. Stockpiles of gravel, overburden and topsoil are scattered throughout the area, <br />cZECCT'.n'FiIDAL'-IGYNS <br />A. Reduce pit walls as mining progresses to specified slope. Topsoil and revegetate to <br />minimize erosion and invasion of annuals (weeds). <br />2.~ Co. trol weeds to prevent spread to off-site areas, <br />3.
