Present during
the inspection was, Mark Tidquits of CC&V.
The Physical inspection began at the Phase IV leach pad PSSA area. Solution was being applied at the time of
the inspection. According to Mark, to date the low volume solutlon collection and that the PH of the water being
pumped Is about seven. If it was reporting from the pregnant solution collection area, the PH should have been
between 9 and 10. It could also be due to dilution from the rainwater stored in the drain cover. Both upper and
lower pumps were operating as des(gned and no major problem noted.
While in the area, the following readings were collected from the High and Low volume solution collection
transducers. High Volume Solution Collection Transducer # 1 was recorded at 8.0 and # 2 was at 6.1. High
Volume transducer # 1 was at 15.8 and # 2 was at 15.6. 9(all readings are in inches of hydrostatic head)
Clay, geomembrane and drain cover were being deployed at different portions of the Phase IVB ore storage
area. the clay-lined area was walked and inspected, no major problem noted. Golder QA/ QC personnel were
present overseeing all of the deployment.
Inspected the Phase I AND II pregnant solution collection areas and recorded the following readings from the
Phase I AND II HIGH AND LOW VOLUME SOLUTION COLLECTION TRANSDUCERS.
Phase I High Volume solution collection transducer # I was recorded at 30.8 #2 was at 33.8 and # 3 was at 33.2
Low volume solution collection transducer # 1 was at .21 and # 2 was at 66. Plezometer for the area was
recorded at 35.8 feet.
Phase II Hlgh volume solution collection transducer #4 was at 28.0 #5 was at 20.8 and # 6 was at 27.2
Low volume solution collection transducer #1 was at .13 and # 2 was at .70. Piezometer for the area
was recorded at 28.8 feet. (ALL TRANSDUCER READINGS ARE IN FEET OF HYDROSTATIC HEAD)
Inspected the external pond and collected the following readings from the low volume solutlon collection
transducers. # 1 was recorded at 8.4 and # 2 was at 11.4 (all readings are in inches of hydrostatic head)
Inspected the under drain area both the South under drain and the 4 inch pipes were discharging, the
discharge was being pumped back onto the leach pad. All the lower ponds were dry. No major problem noted.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: MR.
