ORIGINAL -PUBLIC FILE <br />(Page 2) <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: nn_~nnn_nsn <br />INSPECTION DATE: Z/~~ ~nA INSPECTORSS INITIALS: -BIB <br />OBSERVATION <br />The Division conducted a monitoring inspection of the site, as part of <br />sites to be inspected during the fiscal years 2006/2007.The site is a small <br />110 in stream mining operation in the North Fork of the Arikaree River. <br />Operator was contacted about the pending inspection but was unable to <br />attend. Site was not active at the time of the inspection. Permit sign and <br />property markers properly displayed. <br />There was some ponded water along the east side of the channel from the <br />recent storm. A small what appeared to be overburden stockpile was noted <br />along the East side of the River bank? Stockpiles were stable and naturally <br />vegetated with what appeared to be sunflower and other native grass. Banks <br />of the river did not show any more than the usual expected bank erosion <br />from such activities. <br />When Mr. Dan Bain was contacted he stated that the county from time to time <br />removes material from ther pit. <br />A total of approximately 11/2 acres appeared to have been affected along <br />the banks. The current financial warranty for the site is $10,000.00, which <br />is more than adequate to cover the cost of reclamation. Since the permit <br />acres and affected acres are 9.9 and the reclamation primarily consists of <br />bank slope cutting to a 3:1 slope, and the stream is expected to reclaim <br />itself, the warranty should be adequate. <br />However if the mining plan changes from the current approved reclamation <br />plan, the operator must submit a Technical Revision so the Division can <br />adjust the warranty as needed based on the revised mining plan. <br />No noxious weed infestation noted in the permit and bank area. <br />I & E Contact Address <br />NAME: MR.
