III. COMMENTS-COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the inspection. Comments also describe
any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts of evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This was an aerial inspection flown by Harry Ranney of the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology.
Digital images were recorded during the flight. These images were reviewed by Janet Binns of the Division
of Mineral and geology. This report is based upon those images. Eckman Park and Mine 1 were surface
mines that have been reclaimed. The mine site continues to be snow covered throughout.
Hydrologic Balance: Pond A is partially ice covered. Two aerators are observed in the pond. The
embankment and emergency spillway look to be in good repair. S[ockponds located in the southern
portions of Eckman Park are snow and ice covered.
Reclamation Success: No problems were discerned along the permanent drainages. No significant
erosional features were apparent from the digital images. Slopes appear stable. Roads remain snow
covered.
Page J of ~ Pages, Date 3~3if O O Initials
