a <br />III. Comments -Compliance <br />Below are comments on the inspectio'';~, comments include discussion of <br />observations made during the inspect: ~ '..' Comments also describe any <br />enforcement actions taken during the spection and the facts or evidence <br />supporting the enforcement action. <br />On March 21 a partial inspection: w.as conducted' at the Deserado Mine. <br />Present at the inspection was Tim"s!Cf~'ervick of Deserado and Randall <br />Price of MLRD. At the time of the inspection the:E.reather was snowing <br />and cold. The inspection report was not issued iii site because of the <br />deteriorating weather conditions. <br />The east portal area was inspected. Recent work has been conducted in <br />this area to upgrade the small area exemption ( MR-64). The ditches on <br />the portal bench had been recently recut and were in excellent <br />condition. The 2 sumps, in the storage area adjacent to the portal, <br />have been enlarged. The storage area west of the portal bench appeared <br />to be in good condition. Ali berms have been maintained. <br />This inspector video taped the outside bench of the east portal area. <br />This area is undisturbed and is considered pre-law. Falling snow made <br />viewing difficult. <br /> <br /> <br />
