Bowman observed the tailing
pond under construction at Camp Bird Mine, Ouray, Colorado. On
August 8, 1984, wee submitted a report containing design details
for the tailings pond and Mr. Bowman visited the site on May 28,
1987 after tailing production resumed having halted in fall 1986.
Our specific objective on November 4, 1988 was to examine the
tailings pond and determine whether or not the presence of large,
possibly unattached boulders left in place would compromise the
construction of the pond.
After reviewing they design drawings, the documents leading to our
earlier cited report and the conditions in the field, we
concluded that the presence of the boulders will not have a
detrimental effect on the stability or use of the tailings pond.
We conclude that they can be left in place, as they were on
November 4, 1988 without compromising the project.
Thank you consulting us on
have any questions regarding
further service, please feel
`,~pp~Cu~ .r.,.
~ ~
=~~ 1 .a~:
1L7~.!
