III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations <br />made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during <br />the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was an aerial inspection of the Bowie No. 2 Mine conducted by Sandy Brown from <br />DMG. Harry Ranney took the Aerial photos on May 18, 2006. Weather was clear and the <br />ground was dry. A train was being loaded at the time the photos were taken. <br />Pond B and Pond C look nearly full of water and may be discharging. It is difficult to tell from <br />the aerial photos. The Gob Pile pond appears to be approximately half full of water. Pond F <br />on the east end of the Mine waste disposal area #2 appears dry. Pond K also appears dry. <br />A track hoe is on the slide above the Bowie No.2 portal bench area and below the water <br />tank, evidently repairing and stabilizing the area. <br />Several pieces of equipment are working on Gob Pile No. 2 <br />
