Present during the inspection was <br />Mr. Chips Hoffman, manger of Road and Bridge for the City of Cripple Creek. The site is currently permitted as a <br />1 10 sand and gravel operation being converted into a 1 12 with total permit acreage of 29 acres. <br />Conversion application sign is properly posted. With the exception of a fence owned by the operator, there are <br />no other man made structures located with in the amended area. <br />The operator had been submitting in the annual report the permit acreage to be the 28a cares because when <br />the application was submitted in 1993 it included the legal description for the 28 acres. During a monitoring <br />inspection in 20005 the operator was notified that their permit acres only covers 8.9 acres not the 28 acres <br />currently showing in the annual report. Operator was informed to submit a conversion application if they intend <br />to mine the entire 28 acres.
