Ili. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made
during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the
inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
Signs and Markers
Identification signs were properly posted at all public entrances
to the mine site and contained the required information. The
refuse disposal area was also identified by sign which contained
the MSHA identification number. Topsoil stockpiles were clearly
identified.
Processing Waste
The refuse disposal area was inspected and has recently had
approximately 800 cubic yards of pond cleaning material added to
it. The existing capacity for this phase of the pile is quickly
being used up and it is likely that the operator will begin using
the approved area just east of the current location in the near
future.
Roads
Roads on the site were in good condition and are being well
maintained.
Availability of Records
The records that are required to be kept on site were inspected and
found to be complete and up to date. A records checklist is
attached to this report.
2
