This inspection was conducted as part of the Division of Minerals and Geology's monitoring program. Present at the <br />inspection were Kate Pickford, DMG, and Stan Rassmussen, Rio 6lanco County Road and Bridge. Weather at the time of <br />inspection was partly cloudy, calm, and approximately 30 degrees. <br />2. A permit sign was posted at the entrance to the permit area and boundaries of the permit site were marked. Active mining <br />was not occurring at the time of inspection. The site is relatively remote, and little mining occurs at the site, according to Mr. <br />Rassmussen, because the material extracted from the site is used primarily as fill material for nearby roads when they become <br />damaged. Some material stockpiles were present at the site and topsoil has been stockpiled for reclamation of the active area. <br />All previous mining activity at the site appears to have occurred within the permit boundary. <br />3.
