Enforcement
action forthcoming.
OBSERVATIONS OF TMPORTANCE:
This is quite a large surface disturbance compared to the other County pits ...
probably close to 10 acres.
A large pit has been excavated and aggregate is stockpiled near the road. Reclamation
of the pit could be initiated as most of the pit walls look old and eroding.
Drainage is internal and no erosional problems were observed. Weeds are abundant and
the indigenous grasses do not appear to be invading the site so the soils will probably
require reconditioning prior to revegetation. No topsoil stockpile readily apparent.
REOQ~IDATIONS:
Initiate reclamation of pit by grading (and maintaining) pit walls to 3:1. Describe in
the next annual report. _
~,,
~~
Inspected by
Peter B. Evans
Reclamation Specialist
SAN 11 ~9s2
MiNEU LAND RECLAMATION
Colo.
