(Page 2) <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-1978-079 <br />INSPECTION DATE: 7-a-m INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: ~_ <br />OBSERVATIONS <br />Completed a partial inspection of this site as part of a Mined Land Reclamation Board directive to inspect every mine in the <br />state at least once every four years. The site was fast inspected on February 18, 1998. <br />This is a 9.9 acre Limited Impact permit located about 7 miles south of Karval, Colo.; immeadiately south of County Road J. <br />Mining is progressing from west-east in a 15-20 foot deep pit which daylights on the north. Highwall outslopes are being <br />mined at a 2:1 gradient. Topsoil has been salvaged and stockpiled in the east side of the permit. Product stockpiles are <br />located around the pit floor. <br />A mine ID sign has been placed at the entrance of the permit area.
