r ~ • <br />INSPECTION REPORT - PAGE 2 <br />FILE N0. 83-33 <br />DATE: January 11, 1985 <br />OBSERVATIONS OF IMPORTANCE: <br />A. Area south of Clear Creek <br />1. Number of piles of material and digging areas occurred along east <br />side of site. Piles and digging not present at time of September <br />11, 1984, inspection. Operator unable to specify if activities <br />occurred before or after Cease-and-Desist Order. Only allowable <br />activity on this area after issuance of Cease-and-Desist Order was <br />removal of equipment from bone yard. Pouch but not all of the <br />equipment has been removed. This item to be presented to board at <br />January 23, 1985, meeting for belief a violation to <br />Cease-and-Desist Order has occurred. <br />2. Large rock placed adjacent to gate entrance to reduce unwanted <br />traffic. <br />B. Quarry Area <br />1. Operator to reestablish stream channel along W, side of project <br />within 6 months. <br />2. Excessive blast resulted in abundance of material to come down into <br />pit floor. Operator has been cleaning up site for last six months <br />and should take another three months to totally clean area. <br />Operator to install safety benches along pit face, per MSHA <br />requirements to remove hazards. <br />3. Crushing operations to move farther into pit area once slide <br />material finally removed, with placement of weigh station at pit <br />mouth rather than 1/4 mile downstream. <br />/md <br />Doc.
