he three remaining ponds, the road to the portal area, the backfilled portals, the backfrlled bench <br />azeas and the remaining highwall (although the highwall is a prelaw feature, it has remained stable <br />as well). ]n addition, the Division has not seen any subsidence-related problems at or azound the <br />mine site. <br />Estimate of Continuing_Safety, Health, or Environmental Problems <br />The Division believes, at this time, that the public health and safety concerns at the Twin Pines No. <br />2 Mine are minimized and have been reduced to the extent possible. As the reclamation at the site <br />gets "older", the vegetation will become even more established, further stabilizing the azeas and <br />further limiting the potential for safety, health and environmental problems. <br />Proposed Reduced Inspection Freauency <br />Pursuant to Rule 5.02.2(8), the Division proposes to reduce the statutory inspection frequency of <br />the Twin Pines No. 2 Mine as set forth in Rule 5.02.2(1). The Division proposes to perform two <br />complete inspections at the site each yeaz. The fast inspection will be carried out in the spring <br />(Mazch, April or May), in conjunction with the run-off period. The second inspection would be <br />carried out in the fall (September, October or November) after the summer thunderstorm period. <br />This concludes the Proposed Decision and Written Findings for Reduced Inspection Frequency for <br />the Twin Pines No. 2 Mine. <br />
